Mimi was helpful to me in 1979 when I asked her about setting up a similar non-profit in Southern California. But the numerous well-intended government regulations and compliance requirements made it impossible. Finally decided that someone with a stronger stomach for the unintended consequences of strangling progressive rules and regulations would have to do it. (It's 2011 now and I doubt anyone ever did).

My God, after 40 years meeting Mimi Farina in an interview - she and Richard have been the music I shared with my first love and lover, my God, what memories. Haven't thought about them for decennia. Thanks so much for posting this.
