Kerry finally calls Childline and is put in a safe house, where she tries to come to terms with what has been done to her. Based on a true story, with the names changed to protect the real Kerry's identity.

I appreciate you trying to placate me, but read the sentence again:

"They portray her as a sweet, innocent kid. In reality she was a chavette, born and bred."

That is an awful statement to make about a child. Period. A child is supposed to be innocent, if they're not it's because of the adults in their life who have made them otherwise.

Kerry, I'm so sorry & can only pray that someone is helping you now bc it takes a lifetime to get through it & only if you dedicate yourself to healing AND if you have a dedicated, educated therapist. If you don't, keep looking. God bless you! This crap happens all over the world so I hope you can feel that you are not alone (not that that helps) bc you are not. I'm with you in spirit & in past. Glad someone finally made a film questioning British standards instead of targeting everyone else. I'm British btw I think the system here is terrible, no child iv ever spoke to wants to go into care because it's scarier than whatever's going on at home, every now and again u find a good place and I'm glad Kerry finally had a decent place to call home

I have heard that a global survey of children's mental health in different countries; Britain ranked dead last among industrialized nations, with the highest levels of depression in their children. What gives? It's as if they can't get out of Dickens mode. Hopefully Kerry will speak out one day and name some names. Those people need to be identified. Vigilantism is absolutely wrong but those people who hurt her will certainly be hurting other kids if they're able to. Nature of the beast.
