Rudy Giuliani on John McCain
Morning Joe 7:39
Interview

TRANSCRIPT:
JOE SCARBOROUGH: The problem though of course, he has a mixed message. He talks about more government programs while he talks about cutting spending. This is a guy that calls Barack Obama a socialist for wanting to let Bushs tax cuts lapse, he opposed Bushs tax cuts-

RUDY GIULIANI: No, no, no he doesnt call him a socialist because he wants to let Bushs tax cuts lapse.

SCARBOROUGH: The whole campaign is suggesting that-

GIULIANI: The campaign didnt raise this. Barack Obama raised it. Hes the one who told Joe The Plumber I want to spread the wealth, hes the one who said Im gonna raise capital gains tax whether it increases revenue or not. He is the one in his book he says that he deliberately wanted to associate with certain groups of people. He mentions belonging to that group, Marxist professors, things like that.

[]

SCARBOROUGH: There is a lot of fear and loathing going on out there in middle America. I know because I get tons of emails suggesting that the world as we know it will come to an end if Barack Obama is elected President. Youre a guy whos worked with Democrats and Republicans. You had to be a Republican Mayor of New York. If Obama wins its not the end of this country as we know it is it? Hes not a socialist is he? Its not the worst thing that could possibly happen.

GIULIANI: Its much more important that we elect John McCain. No matter who we elect, this country is going to move on. We are a great country, we all have different views and the reality is I think Im pretty darn right that McCain makes a big difference for this country. But the reality is the country can sustain anything.

  • Rudy, hasn't won an election since 1997... ask the NYFD, and the NYPD what they think of him.

  • say what you will about Giuliani...everything you just heard him say is 100% factually correct.

  • I knew someone would correct me on that. thanks. I also appreciate the insult. tough love...I get it. I'll keep my mouth shut till I turn noting into something.

  • Giuliani is right when he says Obama's ideas will be disastrous for the economy.

  • "10 million dollars a month to play with once the war on Iraq is over" Actually it's 10billion per month and it's not our money. Once the war is over it will have to be paid back to China. Nobody will be playing around with money. You know nothing! Stay out of politics!

  • how will everything be paid for? He will have an extra 10million dollars a month to play with once the war on Iraq is over.....why is McCain not addressing the war at all other than saying "we support our troops". Support our troops and bring them home so they dont have to die in vain
