@GMdrivingMOPARguy depends on the race... drag, auto, street race, manual (of course it depends on driver too), but especially if its a well tuned auto they're pretty damn slick..

automatics take away the human error in shifting the torque converter does all the work and gets it right all the time meaning perfect launches all the time

the thing i like about manuals is when your in a turn, you can keep it in the band and have that power coming out of the corner.

@GMdrivingMOPARguy Man thank god someone finally agrees with me. Autos are better for the Strip and track...trust me my family has been doing it for 30 years. But i personally love Manuals much more so much funner to drive!

@toxicdiesel105 They let you past 1st grade with that spelling? I need to call that school. The automatic shifts it where it needs to, overrevving it more often then not helps in no way at all. But if your so convinced you need RPM then just hold the transmission out, thats what the 1 2 and 3 on the shifter are for

If all you people who think a manual is faster would look at the specs sheet on these you would find out real fast your wrong:
Manual 0-60 4.9s
Automatic 0-6004.7s
Sticks are still more fun to drive and i myself prefer one but for a race car automatic is the way to go
