A labor of love -- can only describe the time and effort 50+ volunteers put into a well-orchestrated weekend of deer hunting for those disabled by war wounds and accidents. Some para-palegic, some with ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease), but all come with a smile, a positive attitude and fierce determination. A real challenge for the handicapped, their loyal caregivers as well as the sponsors of this great event. We strap these heroes in wheelchairs to the back of an open trailer and head up into the hills to get in place before sunrise. All the excitement, adventure, fun and exhilaration and then some of any hunt - but, at 10x the normal! What a rush . . .
