  • I meant "good." I know he is not God. (Close to it, though.)

  • @TheFolksinger I figured that, but I'll bet Sigmund Freud is laughing from the grave. :o)

  • God music and singing. The value of the photo montage is considerable. I remember hearing him preface a song by saying, "I sang this song in..... and they gave me enough money to get out of there." A folksinger's life is in them thar words.

  • @TheFolksinger Thanks, Bill. That's such an endearing Jack story, if a folksinger's life is in thar words, I gotta say that Jack rambled more than most. :o)

  • I first came in touch with Ramblin' Jack and his music back in 1976? when he participated on the 2 "Folkfriends"-Records recorded in Hannes Wader's old windmill in Germany, together with Wizz Jones, Werner Lämmerhirt, Alex Campell and lots of other guys. Loved him since and his records still run on my turntable...

    Thanks for this song !!

    Martin

  • Thanks, Martin. Jack is still on my virtual turntable too.

  • I saw him about twelve years ago in Italy. Can you imagine he sitting in a little folk Club lost in Torino, north Italy fog, sitting with his old guitar (yes the one with the cowboy on it), with a little bottle of whiskey in front of him singing "Red River Valley" and, under my request "Me and Bobby Mc Gee" ? I like him since I heard his version of "Diamond Joe" on a old "Newport Festivval" record.Great artist, and a beautiful song, indeed. Thanks to be. Paul

  • Beautifully constructed video - awesome mix of music and pictures. I Love It.
