@stone85: wasn't tenryu part of the 12 men hired by ted dibiase to attack the undertaker during the casket match against yokozuna at the same rumble....i remember bam bam bigelow, irs, jeff jarrett, ,crush, diesel, and adam bomb, were also part of this attack that marked the "death and rebirth" of the undertaker....

@stone85 I remember the match at Wrestlemania most of the crowd was silent and sort of expected Demolition to win. I think Tenryu would of worked if the WWF didnt make every single Asian wrestler (at this time) a heel. Aside from the die hard fans (like some of us) the greater portion of WWF's fans followed WCW and ECW but not as much the Japanese scene, thanks in part to an underdeveloped interent.

This was an ok Rumble but after following '92 and before '94 this one just pales in comparison

@Grumpyama & Tenryu also competed back in 1991 at wrestlemania VII with his japanese tag team partner kitao & defeated & Saw the very last time of the new demolition Crush & Smash & Tenryu made one last appearance at the 1994 royal rumble match in an angle hired during the rumble match to take out lex luger who was fueding with then wwf champion yokozuna with also the great kabuki

It still baffles me that Jerry Lawler was his old self in this rumble but a complete joke after. Why couldn't he stay a contender?

@dcaron Hulk Hogan announced his return to active status about a month after this Royal Rumble. He probably would have been in this event if he had remained active all the way through. But he returned for one purpose and that was to gain revenge from Money Inc for breaking Brutus Beefcake's nose.

@dcaron he retired at Wrestlemania 8 vs Sid Justice and returned in 1993 just before Wrestlemania 9 when Brutus Beefcake was attacked by Ted Dibiase and IRS
