Paul McCartney was "calling out" the BBC when he and Wings released this re-worked childrens song. After previous Wings singles "Hi, Hi, Hi" and "Give Ireland Back To The Irish" had been banned from airplay by the BBC, Paul responded with this new single, saying "let's see them ban this one". This rare version includes a never before heard "reprise" tagged on to the end of the fully produced version.

  • What a talent! People make fun of this song; I think it's awesome; esp. the cadential extension at the end with all those great chord changes! Love you forever, Paul! RIP Linda!

  • You're welcome, Joe. Yeah, it knocked me out when I uncovered it as well. Kinda reminds me of Paul's extended version of "Six O'Clock" from the "Ringo" LP. It's the same kind of tag.

  • J'adore cette chanson; quel talent , Paul!

  • Linda Música, me traz grandes e boas recordações.

  • @MiddSouthFootball09 IF THIS IS THE ORIGINAL RECORD, WHY IS IT DIFFERENT ON THE VIDEO I SAW? LESS INSTRUMENTS AND HARMONY. WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE RECORD THIS ONE IS ON? OR THE VIDEO VERSION?

  • 3:12 ALL EXCEPT JOHN, BUT NONE OF THEM SANG. boo hoo....

  • @NicNac13c NO LIE!!! She only has one little lamb. The other four lambs in the picture are cousins visiting. Haven't you ever had family come over for a visit? You always take extra pictures. LOL

    Imagine that. LOL

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.

  • Great Quality! That's what I remember! I never heard a longer version before. This'll be a treat! WAIT!!!! This is better than just a better recording!!! This is what was missing!!!! I did hear this version before!!! That's why the other seemed a bit flat and less than satisfying. This was the one I was addicted to, from Breakfast with the Beatles. Thanks for posting it. I wish there was an mp3. The stronger instruments and children singing add so much energy!!! That's what made me love it!!!

  • yes, thanks for posting, have never heard this extention on this tune!! Ya know I have many favorite tunesmiths, Joel, Bacharach, B. Wilson, Dylan, Webb, but Macca, has to be number one, without a doubt.

  • sorry paul no
