@mooneepondskid I see. Thank you for explaining. That does sound like an unfortunate situation. I guess the Indian media should be teaching their citizens about the need for street smarts and adequate money rather than crying racism. A lot of media is like that. They offer the catharsis of hate and judgement but don't provide any practical advice.

@MrHeslopian Basically there has been 150,000 dodgy indian students who have come to Australia in the last 6 years. They come here with inadequate money and end up doing risky night jobs and living in areas with a high crime rate. Many of them have never lived in large cities even in India and basically have no street smarts. Local drug addicts target them because they consider them to be thick and because they often carry their wages on them. The indian media considers these attacks racist.
