question - wouldnt the broodbraid elf count as a red spell as well, so when that came in shouldnt the Bant side have gained a life for that as well?

@avedisdrummer989 Yes, but it is a "May" ability... so if the player forgets about it and don't activate the effects then they don't get it.

if a spells not cast you dont gain the life from it because a red spell was never played
