The Simon Wiesenthal Center called on the Vatican to reject remarks made today by the Patriarch of Jerusalem, the Church's chief representative in Israel, in which he called for Israel's to discard its identity as a Jewish State saying that such a label is discriminatory to its non-Jewish citizens.
Patriarch Michel Sabbah, said in a pre-Christmas press conference, "If there's a state of one religion, other religions are naturally discriminated against....This land cannot be exclusive to anyone." Patriarch Sabbah, who has been a frequent critic of Israel since he attained to this position in 1987, once said of the Israelis, "in the end we will send them away just as we did to the Crusaders."
"Patriarch Sabbah's denial of the State of Israel as a Jewish State is nothing less than a campaign to de-legitimize her and is feeding fodder to the majority of the Arab and Muslim world that their long-held dream of a Middle East without a Jewish State is still possible,"said Rabbi Marvin Hier, founder and dean of the Wiesenthal Center. Hier said that Sabbah's latest outburst contradicts both Pope John Paul II's 1987 declaration that, 'The Jews have a right to nationhood as do all other peoples according to international law and the United Nations Declaration of 1947 that called for an Arab and Jewish State. "Israel does not need lessons from Patriarch Sabbah on how to treat citizens of other faiths and religions," said Hier. "He would better serve the Christians in the Holy Land by going to Gaza and defending the beleaguered Christian minority there from Hamas extremists."
"We call on Pope Benedict to reject Sabbah's demand and all those supporting this insidious campaign to de-Judaize the State of Israel," Rabbi Hier concluded.
So being the papist that you are I am assuming you would prefer a totalitarian-authoritarian form of government where people are given no freedom of conscience, freedom of religion or political liberities.
I sure hope that you do not consider yourself an American.

The American system does not make "the people" the law, it makes the written LAW (the constitution) the law. How do you think the early Americans treated sodomites? They had laws against it much to the chagrin of your sodomite priests. It is the papal system which teaches that the catholic hierarchy (the pope and the priests) are the Lord God who actually have the power to "create" God (transubstantiation), they call themselves the "creators of the Creator" just as do the jews.

@NETRIPZ If you had read what I wrote before you would realize that I said Jefferson was Illuminati. I said MOST of the founding Fathers were Bible believing Christians with the exception of certain ones such as Jefferson and Ben Franklin. But even they had a certain respect for the Christian faith. Men such as Patrick Henry were devout Christians.
The idea of political liberty is not at all in opposition to Christianity inspite of what the papists tell you.

@NETRIPZ
I know the pope blasphemously claims to be infallible when speaking "ex cathedra".
There were some catholics [just as there were protestants] who opposed the nazi regime. They were the ones who were rounded up. Most of them were "liberal" priests. But for the most part priests and cardinals made out fine in nazi Germany and actually advised the top nazi's.

"Bible believing"? Have you ever read the writings of Thomas Jefferson? The very notion that this nation was founded upon; "Liberty" is just about as Masonic as you can get. This system says that "the people" are Lord when in truth GOD is Lord. If "the people" believe that two sodomites have a right to "marry" then that right becomes law. The TRUTH is that IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT. Something that God condemns as a crime cannot be rendered a "right" by "the people".

If Hitler was a "loyal servant of the Catholic Church" then why did he round up so many priests and throw them into concentration camps?

The pope is infallible only under certain conditions; if you had bothered to do your reading you would know that.

Joan of Arc.. LAUGH.
Murdered by one pope, made a saint by another. Goes to show the inconsistency of your "infallible" papa's.

@NETRIPZ Wrong! The devil can kill the body (only if God allows it) but he cannot kill the soul. It is God who will judge, not the devil. The devil is nothing, he is merely an instrument of the Most High. The whole point of that verse was that you should fear God only.
You catholics butcher Scripture more then any single group I know. Catholicism is a heresy on the level with mormonism.

God does not kill the soul. He wishes that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth. It is the DEVIL who can kill the soul; when a person is damned it is because the man/woman in question died in a state of mortal sin and has chosen to serve Satan rather than God. It is the DEVIL who is working to destroy souls through his servants heretics and apostates.
