I just thought that it would be a good idea to upload some standard guitar rock licks for begginers to learn.
I play all licks, first in a normal tempo and then slow for everyone to get the notes.
Keep up the good work guitar mates! ... (more)

  • this is a really cool lick bud. ive been studying this scale since last night and came up with a few licks but they are very simple compared to this one. It was cool to to make us learn it by ear. it took me a bit but it always feels much better than using tab. good lesson. thank you. keep it up i'd love to hear more from you. :D

  • Good for you man!!!I'm so glad it worked for you.

I've always thought that if you do have your ear practiced you can play anything.I suggest you download a software where you can isolate the guitar and break down the tempo without messing with the pitch.

I used it to get some hardcore licks.

    It's called TRANSCRIBE.

    Try it out.

  • would be cool to post tabs, quite irritating learning it by ear

  • master your ear...if you do you'll be 10 times better guitarist than you think you will...plus you need to have a good ear to jam with other musicians ;)

  • The harmonic minor is a beautiful, beautiful mode. Metal guitar and Classical music have more in common than people think. ;)

  • Sick run. Thanks for posting

  • Thanks for playing the lick slow at the end so that I wouldn't have to fight with Audacity for 45 minutes trying to slow it down to learn it by ear.

  • when useing the harmonic minor scale 3 chords are diffrent. the 3rd is augmented the 5th is major and the 7th is diminished

  • Isnt that suppose to be E minor chord to a minor chord?A minor relative is c major which has d,e,a as minor tones?and c,f,g major with b diminished?

  • Thanks for this. Really cool.

  • Cool man I look it up. I feel the same way. It's very challenging but the rewards are endless. Check out my video i just put up. It's a lick in A harmonic minor also that was inspired by this video. Let me know what you think. Thanks again Bud!

  • i might do that thanks!
