*SECURITY ENCOUNTER in this video! Watch and see what happens!* Well, KONE has further modernized this since my last video. The fixtures are now 100% Moinitor TR, and the rare OTIS buttons that were here before are gone. The new Monitor TR is quite interesting, since the brailles and buttons are a bit different form older Monitor TR fixtures. Most everything else is still OTIS, including the doors, hydraulic system, and the car and shaft. I have no clue if SIMON and KONE are going to replace any other parts of this elevator soon. This elevator was installed in the early 1990s when the mall was expanded and rebuilt to 2 floors, and it is VERY nice, as is the whole mall. The original fixtures were one of the rarest parts of this, but SIMON and KONE. for some reason, decided to replace them. Also, this is my 1,200th video!

  • Beautiful elevator

  • @ih8thyssenkrupp I THINK it was built in the 60's shorty after the original mall was built. Not positive on that though...

  • @dea41396returns you got any idea when that building was built? it has General lifts...

  • @ih8thyssenkrupp well yeah and the office building

  • @dea41396returns and macy's itself

  • @ih8thyssenkrupp the only part of the mall that MIGHT be original is part of the Bamberger's court...

  • @dea41396returns desc. amended. i always seem to forget that.

  • Actually, the ENTIRE mall was rebuilt and is not even on the footprint of where the old mall and Alexander's was, the parking deck is on part of the old footprint though...
