Finally (for tonight), I would very much like to discourage any young woman (regardless of race) from following this woman's advice. GET YOUR EDUCATION!!! If you want to become a scientist, lawyer, teacher, architect, physician, professor...YOU DO IT! If the men you date don't approve, then they're not the right ones for you. There are girls/women in third world countries who would kill (literally) to have your opportunity. And once you earn your credentials, no one can take them away from you.

Why are you getting the message that I said you have to choose between education and husband? A 4-year degree (which is what MOST college-educated women have) means that if you go in at 18 you should be out by 22, DEFINITELY by 25. That's still young enough. The problem is that these women want to wait until 32 or 32 when their stock is GREATLY reduced.

How far is an African American woman supposed to take this? Well...men usually prefer long straight hair, so do we have to spend $1,000/per month on weaves & relaxers? They also seem to favor light/lighter-hued women so maybe a little skin bleaching is in order. And let's not forget our lovely "lady-lumps"...gentlemen seem to gravitate toward the larger sizes. So should we start booking our plastic surgery appointments for double-D cups?

Men prefer beauty AND YOUTH. So if you're not beautiful, then your strength is your youth. And I'm not saying a women can't get married in her 30's, I'm saying she will have the MOST options in her 20's.

@UHeardMe1stTime: If what you're saying is true regarding having to choose a family over career, why are the majority of educated, financially successful, career-oriented white women married (and usually with at least one child)? They rarely seem to have trouble finding a husband..or 2 or 3. I believe it is because the "pool" of educated/successful white males is significantly larger for them. Also, the vast majority of black women are steadfastly loyal to black men, & will not date non-blacks.

I am a baptized believer of Jesus Christ. Now although I don't agree with the cussing in this, you are on point. What you are saying is true, even the word says "the wife of your youth" ( in Song of Solomon). You can get a career but like you said if you get it done straight out of High School, you can be done by 25 maybe even 24! What you are saying is true! Ladies get your husband, if you don't, don't cry when you don't have one and turn 50! lol
