But his big jump in homeruns came when he turned 25 and he finally played a full season. Most MLB power hitters will have more consistant homerun totals from their mid 20's to their early 30's.

But his overall percentage of homeruns jumped so much. In reality it should have stayed relatively stable. Of course he'll hit more, but he was hitting them much more frequently.

He played in 230 games with only 691 total AB through his first 4 seasons. The next 4 seasons he played in 582 games with 2223 AB. I would hope he would hit more HRs. For the next 8 seasons he topped 100 games only 3 times due to injury and age. So I think his homerun totals accurately reflect you average power hitting 1B.

Nah, I'm Catholic. Just saying that God doesn't have much to do with sports. He'd be pretty messed up if he prioritized our games over some of the other stuff going on in the world

So is this an Athiest rant or just simply stating that God doesn't have much to do with sports?

Pure speculation of course. But still... a bit suspicious.

Not any hard evidence. He did jump from 19 HRs in his first four seasons combined to 104 HRs in his second four seasons. Those second four seasons happen to coincide with the time period when steroids were used the most in the MLB. After that his performance dropped off significantly and he returned to his previous "steroids" stats.
