F-Zero GP Legend uses Densetsu, but Captain Falcon is no mortal.

For the discussion about the translation of Shinwa and Densetsu: Shinwa means legends of mythical nature, like gods and demons. Densetsu is used more for stories and legends about mortal heroes. Several times Throughout GaoGaiGar Final, the villains referred to Guy as the God of Destruction. This is certainly a case of Shinwa. He is the King of Braves, God of Destruction, Protector of the Blue Planet! Gao! Gai! GAAAAAAAAAR!

Shinwa = Japanese for mythology.

Shinwa actually means legend, hence in the opening of the 7th GaoGaiGar FINAL episode, it says, "Eien no shinwa." meaning "The eternal Legend." And trust me, I'd know, I'm Japanese...
But other than that, it's still called "Yuusha-Ou Tanjou Maisorojii [Mythology]" in Japanese.

heh, well sorry I'm not Japanese. :p
I just put what it had on the screen. Also, they're close enough as people seem to use the interchangeably.
