This video is brought to you under the fair use doctrine by http://www.elusiveshadow.com. It was shot by Michael Jackson's cameraman, Hamid Moslehi, and shows how clear-sighted the artist was about his own life.

The singer was being interviewed by the British journalist Martin Bashir. Unfortunately, most of the footage remained unreleased when the final documentary, "Living With Michael Jackson", was broadcast. This extract wasn't featured either in the rebuttal video "Take 2 : The Footage You Were Never Meant To See".

  • To be honest, the footage shown in the actual Living with Michael Jackson just made me love him more. He's 100% as pure, angelic and legendary as I imagined.

  • his answer at 2:17 made me sad. all he wanted was to walk around, walk down the beach. we take the littlest things for granted, and that was all he wanted. and you know whats sadder? people were what kept him from doing that. then he makes neverland, a large home to walk around and see movies and plays. then people made that a dirty place. then he had nowhere. its depressing really.

  • The Elusiveshadow homepage is closed. Why?

  • Bashir really twisted this documentary (as we all know...)

  • he was a very special man with a very special life god wanted to be this way and i think michael handle very good he was a very normal person too despite the media says they don't know him and he was an honest person i wached and hear all his interviews and he always said the same thing he never lied only with blanket mother he didn't said for sure but ican unterstand that many would do the same i respect him he was a very inteligent and bright man

  • Michael Jackson = I S S U E S !!

  • @PBInstinct I think what he felt was what I feel but 1000times.I mean regular life,he felt llonely, but not cause he was alone. He had family and good friends but I start to think nothing could make him feel full.I mean nothing like stage. He got used to ahving thousands people and their attention adn logically felt lonely in his room without taht love. And no woman or friend could ever suply that need.He died doing what he lvoed most the only thing that made him feel truly alive, the stge

  • @PBInstinct he met hundreds of people in 50 years,I bet he met people already famous that didnt go like OMG is Michael jackson! evrything he is saying is true, but there is alsoa lot of celebrities saying he was sweet always ahving fun joking laughin etc. What I got to learn from itnerviews is...Im an artist and once you step down form the stage and the show is over you feel kinda empty, you miss the interaction the magic and the love of a perforamnce.Imagine having that form millions of people

  • I just hate that he was asking "To fit in", he's a grown man, in his 50's still trying to fit in. He was a prisoner in a world he created. So talented and so full of innovation. Everybody wanted a peice of him...he just couldn't handle it.,

  • @SuperCatwoman09 I think he meant he just wanted to know what people were really like instead of gushing over him and fainting and freaking out. He wanted to know what people really thought and what a normal conversation was like. I imagine he spent an inordinate amount of time listening to fans talking about him instead of having a real conversation. i suspect he was a very lonely man who led an oddly unfulfilling life. He gave everything and got very little "good" in return.

  • @SuperCatwoman09

He's not saying he necissarily doesn't like it when fans do that

he just means that people are always treating him like a celebrity and he never gets to see what other people are really like

He doesnt like it when they pretend to be something there not so he'll like them

  • Is Michael complaining about the fans when he goes " oh my god we love your music and songs" Does that mean he doesn´t want to hear that from his fans???

He says he wants to hear the "real thing".Which real thing??As a fan you don´t know him in person so what does he expect us telling him?

I really don´t get him here.
