@betweenwalls have you lowered tha pickups a bit?i have the same bass and it's pickups were too close to the strings

@Shug964 Hey!! I was not playing any scale but jazz lines -with chromatic approaches and other elements.

I have 2 Jazz Bass - a fretless and a fretted maple one.
Check out my channel, theres one or two videos where I play the maple jazz bass - my main bass is a 5 string Sukop tuned E A D G C
