Star Ocean The Last Hope Unboxing and Impressions

First video on the channel. Quality not great but hopefully will improve in time. Unboxing and first impression for Star Ocean The Last Hope for the PS3 (Also available for Xbox 360). I'm trying to work my way through most of the current gen RPG's. So far this game is quite good, visuals are nice, voice acting is not great but some convosation is text based so its not bad all the time, the menus, skills, leveling up and item creation are really good in this game and the battle system is a little like "Tales of Vesperia" but not quite as good. I will hopefully be uploading a more detailed review in time this was just my first attempt at a video and getting used to talking on camera.

I enjoyed the game being a Star Ocean fan as I am, but I found it nowhere as good as SO3. At least the PS3 version is way better than the 360 version.

@JohnnyLeyenda Lots of people on youtube said that the ps3 version is better than the 360 version (do like to special edition 360 cover though). Its the only Star Ocean that I've played so far. Any recommendations on a good one in the series?

@Belwaer Yer the voice acting was really bad, and the game wasnt what I expected. It's a shame that there are only a handfull of console jrpg's this gen so you kinda gota take what you can get I suppose. Tales of Vespiria is without a doubt my fav jrpg this gen. What jrpg's do u like this gen?

Well, since Star Ocean is a J-RPG series that's why the PS3 version was better, since it included the Japanese voices and "anime-styled" menus and characters. I really liked Star Ocean 3 for PS2, in terms of the battling system it is a little less complex than SO4's but it's great nonetheless, and in my opinion the story was a little more interesting. In any case SO1 and SO2 are good also, as long as you play the PSP versions.

this looks and sounds like pokemon? do every asian developer have to follow the generic aisian game of pokemon...also the game looks rather shit lol...nice vid though

I found TLH to be an extremely mediocre game. From boring gameplay, to terrible character models, to a horrible plot... this game was just plain bad.
