Superb film made by www.iq18films.co.uk exposing how utterly dire Sold Secure and Thatcham are at testing chains. We can chop them in under a minute, why can't Sold Secure and Thatcham?
Why not ask them yourself?

There's only so much that 2 or 3 individuals can do, if just 50% of the people who see this video call the offenders and give them a hard time, they might just smell the coffee.

So there is no chain that can really protect a bike from theft. Just ones that take a bit more work?

There are ones that take a LOT more work. You can start with cropper PROOF chains, 16mm+ with a good case hardening with a nice padlock on it and a ground anchor. By using one of these you're pretty much forcing the hand of any little scumbag after your bike, he'll have to commit to using noisier methods of attack.

How good do you consider Protector 16mm or Protector 19mm? Are they worth their price?

Hello, as long as they have a good padlock then I would say probably yes, but the Almax has superior hardening and a rather smart coating at the same price. Either way it's a good choice. Good luck.

I got a new bike and I would like to know what you think about the type of lock I bought, its called a "disclock" I think. Type in "enduro locks luma" on google, its the type like the colorfull ones (green, orange, white etc.)

Hello, disc locks are really only any good for very brief periods, the bike can still be loaded into a van or wheeled off on a skate. What are you using at home?

They don't need to roam, they steal a van and use that. This isn't really about croppers, it's about Sold Secure not testing properly, they test with 42" croppers and can't cut the chain, we test with 42" croppers and CAN cut the chain. Something isn't quite right.

Do you think the new Kryptonite New York Legend 15mm is much better than this 14mm that got chopped? I just bought it and I'm nervous after seeing this. No one online has tried breaking the 15mm yet.
