On Feb 4th 2011 at 1500hrs, a fire was reported at a 47 unit 3 story apartment complex on the Southeast side of Albuquerque
First arriving units found heavy smoke and fire visable, and entered the structure to search for people trapped inside. Two residents and a cat were rescued, while 4 firefighters fell through a fire weakened floor, injuring two of them.while two firefighters were injured when they fell through the fire weakened floor.
At 1540hrs, the Commander on scene evacuated crews from interior operations due to structural collapse and high fire loads. A 3rd alarm was requested, bringing in a total of 27 fire vehicles and 75 Albuquerque firefighters, along with a mutual-aid ladder truck and crew from Kirtland Air Force Base Fire Department.
The fire was reported to have started in the 2nd floor laundry room behind a washing machine, an electrical cause is suspected.
The building and all contents appear to be a total loss.

Typical AFD surround and drown my ass shit heads. A couple good guys got hurt at that fire. All you county ass holes burn down everything you touch. We burn one down every now and then but we save A LOT more then you dip shits ever will. I mean your last house fire! what a joke! you guys burned it down and blamed "sawdust" how gay are you? Our equipment is better then yours because we're better then you and that's how it has been and always will be. GET OVER IT.

Can the "Backdraft" theme music - fire videos are always better with no music and fire audio. Too bad you weren't there for the collapse..otherwise good camera work, nice ad steady, nice clean shots, thanks for posting.
