My Circoarts Audition for 2010, Creating + Performing Component.
Criteria: Create or devise on your own, a short performance piece of between 3 and 8mins long. Use either your preferred circus skill area as the basis of the piece and/or another preferred related skill area or physical performance medium of your choice (comic or dramatic).

Blurb:
In my creative performance piece I chose my preferred circus skill of Fire Poi and Fire Eating, as I am completely comfortable and confident this area. In this piece I wanted to communicate to the audience that fire performance can be enchanting, gracefull, and kitsch at the same time as being technically skillfull and entertaining. A lot of current manipulation performance lacks intimacy with the audience and old fashioned playfulness, the way that I chose to express myself through Fire Manipulation aims to break down these barriers.
