yup, when i wrote "jeff beck" i meant jeff beck's band, anyway i understood what you mean. and i love tal's solo too. i was just 'complaining' about the comparison which i found absurd

I'm not comparing Van Halen to Jeff Beck. Read my post. In terms of memorable, musical greatness, I'm saying Tal's solo (the bassist) is, TO ME, a landmark solo that stays in my head. I admit the comparison is a bit extreme as Eruption is guitar & in a class of its own. (Its not an 'improv' really- Its...an eruption). I simply like the jazzy musicality of these notes & their execution. No its not Billy Sheehan technically, but its awesome just the same.

WOW, What a great line up Jeff has here. I love this song, and Tal's bass solo is perfect. Jeff's reaction speaks volumes and shows what a class act He is. Thanks for posting this up on youtube. Now I need to find the whole Ronnie Scott show.
