@fecto3210 Agreed. I bought my FZR400 as my first sportbike in 1990. I learned alot but the learning curve was high and I probably would have learned better on a standard. I still have the bike and it is an amazing trackday and Sunday morning surfer. See my channel!
@caboose365 Obviously a narrow minded answer. Any bike can sprint with proper gearing. But the FZR specializes in track work. It carries high speeds into corners with amazing stability. Your XS400 specializes in going to the corner market for a gallon of milk. Nothing wrong with that. Just different.
It is a fantastic bike! That was my first bike and it is absolutly awsome. But a terrible desision for a learner, really quick, peaky engine, nervous steering; if you survive to it then you graduated with honors.
@nuorangejapan I totally agree. The major 400cc sport bikes (kawasaki GPX 400R, kawasaki ZXR 400, honda CBR 400 RR, suzuki GSX 400R, yamaha YZF 400R and honda 400 VFR) were freackishly fast for their displacement. They are too dangerous to be trusted to a beginner.
i used have one i miss it
