No my friend, he is not thinking..... just crying..!
-
if ray mears were with him, they both would have gained weight :)
-
oh hell, how many tears when he finally sees a person!

@v5u7sulh2 Refer to 8:24 Give the guy a break. It would've went platinum if he'd been eaten on camera though.

One word - an Englishman.

i was thumbing up the videos until about halfway through the series when i realized he is just way too emotional, he was never going to starve, it was only 3 months with tons of resources and tools to harvest them, not to mention the magic "get me out of here" button, yet he just cries for 80% of the series....it got really old really fast and nothing exciting ever happened. I'm glad you gained a personal experience Ed, but this series was total shit!

This was a personal experience, and good on him. and after 16 years in the Army i'm still not sure how someone musters the nut to even do this. I'd do 51 days and jack off on a pocupine 's guts for shits and giggles, wait for a bear to slip by, tracking the smell, set up warning devices, not bear wire, and double slug shot em in the face, ill be doin bear back all week son, if it got this much review. Wouldn't cry either, cause i'm not doing this shit...you mad? Shoulda kept the pics at home!

It's may be life threatning, but out there...and I know, you must be willing to kill at a moments notice. I respect how you did not shoot the moose or caribou, but you came upn many bear tracks, they need to be followed to a water source, and then it's a matter of whose got the better will to survive in order to get food, thats why you could not last longer is that it was not a true survival environment, you had all the tools to do so yet did not follow natures rules. No doubt a great experience

Good Game brother, 50 days is beyond most peoples realm of understanding. I am extremely proud to see a human take on such a life changing and soul changing challenge and you met yourself and the wild in a sense of combat that only you can explain and forever will you be a part of that land. It's true....we are social creatures and with the distractions of home and the immediate safety buffer of pressing a button to allow us to escape, changes that game. If you want salmon follow the bears.

Too civilized, for a civilized man he did alright, but he was in bad shape from the start.
If he spent as much time fishing and foraging as he did sitting in front of the camera crying he would have made it. He let his mind beat him.

I don't get it... if they went through all the energy and expense for the show... why did they pick someone who needs human contact so much. I know it's not easy but there are people who are able to handle this and share their knowledge on how to survive this type of situation. Too much emotion and not enough focus on survival. Maybe that was their goal.
