Would this be considered hard bop?

well, as I understand it, and I'm no musicologist, but bebop tended to be faster and existed mainly in small-band jazz of the 1940s & early 50s. by the mid 50s (and this video is from either late 50s or very early 60s) the tempos got a bit slower and the sound was evolving, both in harmonic structure (think coltrane, monk, mingus or eric dolphy's explorations in this time period) and also style influences (rhythm & blues, latin & brasilian music etc). at least - that's how I view it.

also "soul jazz", perhaps a better definition

1:28 Cannonball swings that shit so hard I'm surprised the sax didn't just fall apart on him.

I was trying to find Ben`s Carter All Star group version , much slower and with vocal part . If someone have clue where to find it , or maybe even better, I should post it ?

Yes, quite. I think even Cannonball could be nervous; watch him pull his earlobe while talking, that's also a sign of insecurity. He must have wanted to make a good impression on TV, as an intelligent and eloquent musician. Which he was, of course.

I met Mr. Cannonball Adderly in San Francisco in 1974, my dopey rock band played on the same bill at a festival. I got to talk to him a while-a wonderful, friendly positive man. I love his playing-you can tell he means every note. Even though he had tremendous technique, it never got in the way of his soulful approach.
