Cavatina (theme from The Deer Hunter) By Stanley Myers.
The phrasing is a little out in places and a few bum notes. Maybe I'll practice it a little and try again. Also I think a Nylon string acoustic would be a better instrument for this composition.

  • what mic is that its good

  • Rode nt1, it's running through a TL Audio C 5021 Valve compressor

  • Great work.i could never have played as good as you did on a steel string guitar!

  • Thank you for the compliment. You're quite right though, playing a piece like this on a steel strung guitar presents a fair challenge. I hope to re-do it soon but on a nylon string guitar. I also think the tone of the nylon strings are much prettier for this piece.

  • You have a very nice assistant - he listens spellbound.

  • Hi, sir, it is quite frustrating that a lot of people on youtube play this music but they do not have a step-by-step instruction for us who could only dream of ever playing this song. It would really be great if you could do that for the hundreds of thousands of your fans. You know tell us which finger should go on what fret and which string to play? Thank you sir. We LOVE your playing.
