They did keep Janine's line: "Is it just a mist or does it have arms and legs?" You can find it in the montage just prior to when Winston walked up to the firehouse.

It wasn't in there. She does have parts in there. "Is it just a mass that doesn't have arms and legs?" is while they're going through the whole thing with the magazines and talk shows. Winston being interviewed is in the movie and him walking up to the office with the newspaper is in there.
