A look at the parkway in 1990 showing some of the overhead road signs. These have all since been replaced. Note the white background on some of them!

  • When I was a little boy, me and my dad used to take my grandma and grandpa to the LaGuardia Airport. Those were my dad's mother and stepfather.

  • def wish i wasnt 3 yrs old in 1990...in way wish i was like 10, seems like the 90's was a great time to be in the prime of your life...

  • Cool stuff! Look ma, NO SUVs! You can even see people signaling and leaving space between cars. Why? No cell phones either. Those were the days.

  • WOW, the roads look better back then compared to today, LOL

  • this was before the interboro parkway became the jackie robinson parkway

  • The camera mount must be taking up the entire front seat. If memory serves correctly, back then it was those super huge VHS recorders?

  • ohh crap, the entrance to the interboro was only one lane back then?

They went from one lane to two. Then back to one. Amazing how some of those model cars I still see on the road.

  • Got to miss these days that look like Home alone

  • GCP was so smooth back in the day!!!! now it feels like a rally special stage!

  • the signs at 0:35 are being torn down after nearly 25+ yrs.
