you dont need to be an expert in fluid dynamics. a small round swimming pool would suffice. of course all objects would have to be relative.

yeah only tidal waves are created by tide and low pressure and tsunamis are a totally different thing. ... :D

enough of the computer "models", build the real thing!

@johnnytheprick
Build the real things? Should I attempt to make a real tsunami ?
BTW, if you don't like "computer models", as you define them, I would suggest you to go forward and search for other video instead of losing time typing such a kind of useless comment. Have a nice day.

my point is that computer models can be, and often are made, to simulate supporting evidence (case in point, 9-11 collapses, which btw, defy the laws of physics apparently).
in building the real thing, i mean a real model, not those straight walled wave pumping machines. nature works nothing like that, except in narrow canals or waterways.

Ok, Jonnytheprick.
I got your point of view. It's clearer now. By the way, that cg simulation was made as support of a video footage portraying the waves hitting an island in Andaman sea. The right of the video were bought from a French media and CBC (Canada). Of course building up a real model was out of the target and honestly also out of my knowledge about physic laws related to dynamic of fluids.
