  • MARK NICHOLAS COMMENTARY WARNING

  • That juiced up cricket ball is hooping around.

  • @Pankcakes123 dude il live in australia yet support england because of my heritage but to say that australians dont whinge and whine when they lose is a joke the 1st comment by u proves that oh if u really wanna seee what i mean read the daily telegraph they are the worst!

  • @Stephend83 Mate, i'll graciously accept that he english cricket team is the best in the world right now in the test format, but the 05 aussie team was one of the greatest of all time. It's fact, the poms used cough lollies for ball tampering. It's actual fact, now the ICC has legislated on it, but you hardly ever hear the aussies bitching about it. I don't blame the poms for cheating, i mean they had their asses handed to them for over a decade.

  • @Pankcakes123 typical aussie whenever they lose they have to find some excuse on why the lost instead of accepting it graciously

  • i've got a nasty cough... any lollies about?

  • Shame on them for using lollies

  • @1212yuvi Reverse swing is magic... After 30+ overs, the unpolished side becomes so rough that it becomes more stable going through the air, (like dimples on a golf ball) Also the process of polishing the ball with saliva or hair gel causes that side of the ball to warp, and become less aerodynamic. This results in the reverse effect of normal swing, and causes the ball to swing to the side that is polished. Reverse swing is best in the sub-continent due to rough pitches.

  • @1212yuvi . An inswinger for a right handed batsmen, is when the unpolished side of the ball is on the right hand side. The ball swerves to the right, i.e IN to the batsmen to out bowled or LBW. An outswinger is the left side and therefore moves away from the batsmen (usually aiming to get a nick off the bat to be caught by the Wicket keeper/slip.

  • @1212yuvi Normally the fielding side will polish one side of the cricket. The un-polished side is rougher. This therefore means that the rough side has more aerodynamic turbulence (drag) as it goes through the air. The difference between the polished and un-polished side of the ball causes a negative pressure difference that causes the ball to be dragged to the side of the unpolished ball.
