actually your wrong and right right about them not being Indians but wrong about them being native Americans they weren't American they were natives. that is the correct term to say because majority of Americans including myself dont know what they called themselves

The Native Americans were first called indians by Christopher Columbus because he had thought he landed in India. I dont know why we still refer to Native Amercians this way if it was a mistake in the first place.
