@hherroyal05 I agree with you. I have all of Cissy's Gospel albums, I love "The Lord's My Shepherd"!! You can hear Whitney's timbre in her mom's voice...what a shame, what a shame!

This would have been Whitney's destiny... her mother had as good of a voice, if not better in many ways, given her age. You can see the lovely Whitney at the end, supporting her mom :( I think Whitney Houston's story should be taught in schools, because it is the saddest drug story ever. Crack IS whack!

How can SOUL be explained to a soul-less generation....You have to have SOUL to understand SOUL....we all have a soul but not everyone has SOUL...SOUL cannot be explained it can only be inflected in the moment...a song may be written one way but a feeling comes in that wasn't expected...a feeling that resonates and in that moment a different interpretation will come forth to help explain the emotion of a song...OH there is so much more to singing that has obviously been lost...This was SOUL...
