hay first of great tank secondly i have just redone my tank and changed from gravel to sand mainly for my corys and i was wondering will thye uproot my plants coz at the moment there staying in the sand the plants but im afriad the corys are gonna up root em

sweet tank dude i got a new corydoras 2 days ago. i traded my odessa barb for it. the barb was attaking all the other 6 fish. i now have a total of 2 corydoras :)

@gemsdals, in my opinion, they're kinda cute... I have one, i call him Mr.T (Don't ask, i just picked the first thing that popped to mind)

All cories do this, it's natural.

MY albino cory cats regularly go up to the surface to breathe in atmospheric air , and then go back to the surface, then around aminute or two later go back to the surface. Does that mean they don't have enough oxygen?

Hey I have a question. I just bought three Julie Cory's yesterday (Feb 14) and i'm not really familiar with corey's but they are swimming around singly and they are not staying at the bottom, instead they are swimming around the mid section and top, and one in particular swims and lands on my plastic plant and just sits there. Can you tell me what's wrong or how to fix this problem? Or maybe even why this is happening?

Some corys enjoy swimming mid water and milling around the plants, if they look bright, fins are not clamped and are not gagging for air at the surface I'd say they are normal happy corys, they do like to be in groups of 6 or more so it's possible they would show more shoaling behavior if there was a few more.

They are corydras sterbai, nice fih, even the albino versions have the yellow fins.

Cool. I love corydoras. I have 3 peppered, theyre really happy, ill get more when the Mrs lets me get a bigger tank! Do you just keep Corydoras then? Theyre such mad little critters!

Yep, 90% corys in my tanks, a few other fish to fill in the gaps but the corys are the best! lol.
