I worked out earlier that day, and at night I was training rope climbing at the gym and warming up on the gym spring floor.

I guess I was already worn out from earlier and was jumping and came down with a wobbly foot and heard a loud pop, along with everyone else around me.

It didn't hurt bad, but was in shock about the timing. Right before the ANC 2 finals in LA! Damn!

Luckily I had a lot of positivity around me and I started working on recovery right away.

I went crazy with the healing. I went to the doctor, physical therapist, acupuncture, chi kung healers and kinesiologist!

I expedited the healing process by doing short sets of 3 mins ice, 2 mins off for 20 mins. then 20 mins off elevated. The next day I did 3 mins ice, 2 mins heat for 20 mins. then 20 mins off elevated. From the third day on only heat, stretching and exercise.

After all this the most important factor for healing was the positive attitude. Visualizing myself running through the course as I would normally do.

That was right in some ways, but a mistake once i got there. I should have adapted my game plan.

I thought about hurdling the first log, picturing how high i would normally jump, but couldn't jump that high or run to fast and clipped my foot on the very first log. Not to mention every other log after that! hehe

and don't even ask me aout that rope climb. haha I just couldn't grip that rope. It was real thick. I probably psyched myself out. I don't know.

Overall, It was a great experience that I will take the lesson from and come back next time a whole new sharper stronger competitor!

Thanks everyone!
