Yea I have the same radio with a 27 inch whip on the roof of my ford ranger I wanna get a speaker to set up the pa system this radio has

Just picked up the same model, hooked up the PA system first, buying the antennae from Walmart tommorow, gotta stay updated on the bears, how is the setup working for you?

@r3wcifer Directly wired to the car battery, I used a heavier gauge wire from the battery to the drivers side. I had interference with my XM radio, so wiring it to the fuse box wasn't cutting it. It's been great so far. I know about accidents miles before, so I'm able to think about taking another route before I'm boxed in. The bear reports are awesome

@nyclewis Haha got my antennae the other night, its a little Scosche antennae works damn good for its size, I got mine wired to the battery too, got a little interference with ignition and windshield wipers, but I think that might be due to me putting the ground so close to the engine bay. Love it so far though!
