But Miller is anything but washed up, you just don't like his anti-Marxist opinion. Seems you think anyone from the left that see's the light as washed up. Most people call them enlightened and intelligent. Two traits you will never be blessed with.

Concerning the Mississippi state flag.
Most southerners did not even own slaves yet still fought the North to defend their states rights to secede the nation.
Many did own slaves and I do not defend that, I do believe states have a right to leave the "union" if they do not want to be part of it.
Its arguable whether the civil war was about slavery or power, probably both.

I wonder if people know the confederates were all democrats, and that the democrats actually founded the KKK... and Jim Crow laws was a campaign tool used by the democrats........ hmm.
