Dear Monty,

I write this letter to you because I want to address your behavior on YouTube, as far as I have been able to experience it myself and as far as I have observed your actions towards others: both Christians and non-Christians. I share this publicly, not to slander you, not to label you or to put you in a category of major failure, and certainly not to condemn you. The reason is that I have addressed you personally about your sins, others have been witness of that and have done likewise and still you have not changed your ways. According to Matthew 18:15-17 I am to tell it to the church and according to Galatians 2:11-21 I am to take a stand publicly when I see someone is putting God's reputation at stake by not acting in line with the truth of the gospel.

I will start by asking forgiveness for my blunt responses to some of your hurtful and unjust comments. I cannot justify my bluntness, for I chose not to be kind but to respond in a hostile way. Forgive me for not treating you with meekness as I should have according to Romans 12:17,21, Galatians 6:1, 1 Peter 3:9.

With that being said I want to proceed by naming what I have observed to be wrong in your actions.
Out of context quoting
I've seen you take one or two sentences someone said without mentioning the context which, as you well know, defines the meaning of those sentences.
Labeling people and twisting the meaning of their words
To me you seem very knowledgeable about theological brands. However, I have seen you misuse that knowledge in two ways. One: labeling someone right away without having asked friendly questions or giving that person a fair chance to explain him- or herself. This is unjust and in my opinion rather a sign of uncertainty than a sign of wisdom. Two: using someone's words not in line with the meaning of the author/speaker of these words but ascribing a meaning to them in order put him or her in category that does not apply to that person.
Setting up straw man arguments
The aforementioned has, as I have seen in more than one occasion, led you to set up straw man arguments. In these situations you created the illusion of having refuted a proposition by substituting it with a superficially similar proposition, refuting it, without ever refuting the original proposition.
Acting as doctrinal police
I observe that you are not alone in all of these sinful activities. I have seen you together with a group of supporters act as doctrinal police and I consider you to be the leader (though I might be mistaken in that last statement of you being the leader, correct me if I am wrong). It seems to me that the main purpose is to find fault with both Christians and non-Christians, constantly pointing out the supposed errors which I dare to say are not always errors but differences and you and that group display cultish characteristics by fiercely damaging persons that have a different view than yours by making them look like heretics. Ruining reputations every video you go, slandering your brothers that you don't even know. And when it comes to unbelievers, I have noticed that the tendency is to have a go at that person, to show his errors for the sake of feeling proud, not for the sake of winning him or her over.

Having carefully elaborated on the sinful acts I have seen you commit, I invite you to do the following. Let go of your unjust examinations of what others say or write, labeling, intellectual pride, hostility and hardness of heart. Indeed, repent. Admit your wrongs and ask for forgiveness, it is freely available for a repentant heart.
As far as this is between us, I extend my forgiveness. It is up to you to accept it. I have been forgiven for my many sins thus I am to forgive you. Should you choose reject my offer, then that is your responsibility. Then I would say: Forgiveness is mine but the problem is yours, I hope you'll align to a less selfish course.

But what is far, far more important: go the Lord and confess your sins and let Him change you on the inside so that you may represent Him here on YouTube instead of glorying in your intellectual pride. Repent, Monty, repent!

  • I've watched Bianca's attack on PW. Although I'm a fan of Washer as Bianca once was, I'm more concerned over the condition of her heart and her influence over her 1000+ subscribers. It concerns me greatly that if RedBeetle can snare her, who else? My heart is very heavy over all of this. I've been watching her videos for some time and watched her seemingly grow. I've just in the last month put all of these pieces together. She has completely flipped her doctrine and parroting Redbeetle.

  • @MustardSeedish Yes, I agree. I removed him from my friend's list both here on YT and Facebook as I cannot abide his actions and behavior toward the brethren. This should not be tolerated and when I saw that I was not going to be able to reason with him, and I did try to, I removed him. I pray for him, but I feel he is starting his own cult. I pray that I am wrong.

  • @TheRedBeetIe Got logic?

  • @jgrig2 Ou un menteur.

  • @daafith quand quelqu'un dit que Clark et Horton ne croient pas à sola fide, c'est bien evident qu'il soit fous ou un méchant.

  • @foucachon C'est vrai. Il est hostile. And the invitation to him (to repent) is still open.

  • @RedBeetle We need a host of videos saying what you're saying. Monty Collier / "Red Beetle" is a slanderous man who calls himself a Reformed Christian. But his fruit is that of an accuser of the brethren. I call on all who love truth to not only ignore this evil man, but to warn brothers in Christ of his destructive ways, and not to spread his videos.
