@gibsonlover103 No you're still going to have to put a lot of work into it, especially if you want to sound good. The game is good for learning hand and fingering placement but there's a lot of things they don't cover like bends, harmonics, and palm muting. They kinda compensate for these but it's not the same. And trust me you're not going to be able to start a song on Expert and expect to do well without going into the trainer a little so it's not fast either.

so do you have to have any guitar experience at all?
-
@RunNJump101 well, you can only use the special made Squier or the Mustang in game. However, using those 2 guitar, you can switch the lane to lefty mode and both of those guitars support that.

@komani86 im sure its just couse he is making mad mistakes .......

That was awesome. I love the unmuted/amped versions.

Just a semi-unrelated question for you: Is it possible and/or relatively painless to flip the strings on this guitar to lefty position?

@redhed002 "This is just me having a blast and that's really what it comes down to, and ultimately what I wanted to get across: That despite any limitations or complaints you may have heard or read about, the squier, and pro mode in general, what it really comes down to is they've surpassed all the expectations I had and is ultimately fun as hell."
Bullseye! i did get a pretty good sound out of a 10watt amp with a boss ds1 + danelectro grilled cheese for extra fuzzies, great song, fun as hell

@Snootch697 paddy wack?
I hate how they take a skill that most of us have worked for years to perfect and make it to where people can learn it really fast without putting in that much work. its bull

@gibsonlover103 It's a valid point, but I've heard the same thing said about online guitar tabs, and it was a valid point then. But, then again, nothing takes away the years you learned to perfect it, and I can guarantee that if you did work for years you'd be a hell of a lot better than I am. However, if this gets someone like me, or even someone even more unexperienced, "in the door" towards working for those years to perfect, then I think it's a positive thing.

Great video showing the flaws of the squier. I suppose you can score high on this song with the mustang. Makes sense though that resonating makes it harder to register. Maybe patchable like "if a chord is has to be held after a strum for x secs, dont register x secs?" Too shifty though lol. Apart from the bending and this, the guitar is still awesome. Doesnt sound that great through an amp though im afraid.

@komani86 You're not going to be playing for score with the mute off lol, that's just more of a Ok, now let's hear what you've just learned. And, personally, I think it sounds fine for what it is, a 250 dollar guitar being played through an 80 dollar amp. It's aimed at the person using it to learn how to play guitar, and for anyone using it for that, it's cool. But, yeah, I wouldn't even think of using it to play out.
