@warrenrecordshull A good AB setup uses two omnidirectional microphones, placed parallel and between 50 to 70 cm apart. 50 cm gives you a recording angle of 180°, 70 cm a recording angel of 94° (according to Eberhard Sengpiel), so the wider apart the smaller the area covered. It is important to note that these two signals need to be panned full left & right. Panning them partway will inevitably produce comb filtering.
