Yes, GAF also made vinyl floors in addition to ViewMasters... The actress working with Mr. Fonda is Bonnie Boland who is probably best remembered (as viewers here have already pointed out) as Myrna from an episode of the Brady Bunch called "And Now, a Word from Our Sponsor", as well as Mabel in several episodes of "Chico and the Man"

  • She sounds so British here...

  • "Why is Henry Fonda in my house?"

  • @Sugarbehr1967: Her character pronounced the name "Meerna" and gave acting lessons to the Bradys. Mrs. Brady and the kids had been discovered in a supermarket parking lot by Paul Winchell, who played an over-the-top commercial filmmaker in fringe jacket and headband. Myrna's acting lessons gave Winchell's character fits.

Good eye. Wouldn't have spotted her.

  • Those G.A.F. camera film commercials were actually the first that I ever heard of Henry Fonda (of all places). I remember how he used to say "This is Henry Fonda here for G.A.F.!", or something to that extent. I liked the way he pronounced the "A" in G.A.F. as if he were pronouncing an "E". I thought he talked funny! Little did I know, at such a young age, what a great actor he was!

  • All this does it remind me of him playing Admiral Nimitz in "Midway" but that was in 1976. Still though doesn't vinyl clean well? :))) LOL. We still just as lame commercials today. Its pitiful. But how else can you sell flooring?

  • Haha! LOL!

  • You nailed it. Her name is Bonnie Boland, confirmed with a screencap, found on aveleyman dot com.

  • Remember the episode of 'The Brady Bunch' where they were making a commercial for laundry soap, and cousin Myrna was helping them on how to act? That I do believe is Myrna Carter..not sure of her name, but the voice is a dead giveaway!

  • I love the noisy set... Henry Fonda sounds like an elephant on that floor...

  • This is the most random commercial! I know they defy logic, but if Henry Fonda suddenly walked into your kitchen would you be all "the pattern of my vinyl floor is called 'Palais'?"
