Yes, love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you the giver.

your horse looks really pretty, it's sad how horses can be treated that way at slaughter houses, even the gorgeous ones like Sierra
I used to go to a riding stable that had a shetland pony foal which was saved from starvation, they took her in before it could get bad and now she's really happy and she loves being brushed and getting treats from little kids and even though she gets up to mischief alot, she's still the cutest pony i've seen ;)

@peanutthemanlypony At my old barn my trainer decided to buy a stallion from these people. When she got there they wouldnt let her have the stallion unless she took this other mare. She took her. The mare was a chestnut qh. They had been starving her to death because they didnt want horses anymore. She was full grown and probably only weighed 600 lbs.She was apparently pregnant as well. She lived at my trainers farm for a few months. She gained weight and was sold. She never delivered her foal=(

this video is bascically what happened to my horse Juno. He was sold 57 times within 4 years before going to slaughter. the owner of our barn bought him,but he thought he was untrainable and a wast of time, so i bought him. It took him months before he trusted anyone. and years before we could ride him. now, 5 years later, he is the most amazing thing ever. an amazing 3 day eventer.
i'm sorry bout blabbing on, but this reminds me of his story, his very sad stary, but with a happy ending:)

lol ur name is catlin??? My full name is sierra catlin dubois I couldnt even imagine how people could do that to such a beautiful animal!!! :(
That's truly a touching video. I admire you for rescuing her. She's beautiful behond description. I am concidering rescuing a horse. I have been riding for nearly 8 years now, but I am afraid that I wont be able to properly train a rescue horse, and I don't want to make things worse for the poor creature than they already were. Any tips? =/

Okay, thanks. That's good to know. I will keep that in mind. This isn't something that I am going to do tomorrow. I need to sell my other horse first, due to me out-growing him. If/when this happens, it will be at leat another year before we rescue another horse, which will give me some more time to prepare. I need to make sure we can afford another horse before I go and rescue one. ;) Thanks a lot for the tip though. I will remember that. Once again, great video. Your horse is amazing. =)
