Composed in 1995, I have always thought this movement to be my first "mature" composition. I will use "Mayeem" also composed for Cello & Orchestra as the final 3rd movement, and include a 2nd movement yet to be composed which will complete the three movement composition - as always, thank you so much for your support - there are so many videos out there - I'm thrilled that you took time to listen to mine. ----

  • A really good concerto. The beginning is amazing:)

  • @ComposerLarsik Thank you composer Larsik - it's not often to receive compliments from other composers!

  • Find that there are who still writes tonal music of great beauty is exciting

  • I did enjoy this concert. It's wonderful. I like the Glockenspiel and the Cadenza most. It's like CamposerLarsik says: a fusion of Romantic and the great American film-music but with the typical handwriting of Daniel Leo Simpson.

  • @ComposerLarsik Oh, by the way.. after "mature" I want to smile ;)

  • @danielleosimpson When I hear a "mature" composition I want to comment it. You have many great compositions, but this is by far one of the best. I like the way you (to me) combine the classical period and the romantic with a typical film score (a compliment) and your own voice.. Im writing my first symphony now (I know, a difficult task) and I hope you will listen to it someday.

    Have a nice weekend:)

  • impressive. Leo, I want to talk in the site.

  • Magnificent! So there's hope for us "retro" composers after all, eh? Keep up the good work! - Vic Sagerquist

  • This deserves some clapping at the end. Even though it's not the whole concerto. Bravo!

  • It is an honor listen to your lovely music.

    At 1:37 was Fabulous!!

    Bravisimo!!

    God bless you,
