Outcast

My most recent poem. Enjoy :)


Outcast:

At times life isn't fair
and it seems too much to bear
trying to stay strong
but you can't find where you belong

At the end of your rope
you've fallen down a slippery slope
your cries are all in vein
as your life begins to drain

You tried your best to fight
but with no light to stave the night
darkness chills you to the bone
and once again you're all alone

You cry out once again
this isn't how it's supposed to end
the unforgiving pain
making teardrops fall like rain

Your heart crawls to a stop
as your head begins to drop
your body becomes numb
with no choice but to succumb

You leave it all behind
no thoughts left to fill your mind
your tormented soul released
may you now rest in peace.
