This book is so AMAZING!! I didn't finish reading yet, but the history is really cool.

I think a lot of fantasy novels have similarities to other fantasy novels especially if the writer was inspired by certain novels , it's like a compliment of sorts not plaigerism that's taking someone else's work copying it and passing it off as your own

@maddie32500 I have read all 13 books that's a very tiny similarity and also the Baudelaires literally lost their parents ( they're dead) the parents of the "P" kids may or may not be dead

(this comment may contain spoilers) ok after reading this book I realized soon enough that it was nothing more than The lion, the witch, and the wardrobe. Three kids destined to save the world from an evil witch... that's pretty much the same thing as the narnia book. In this book, the boy (Micheal) gets kidnapped by the witch, much like how edmund got kidnapped by a witch. And so on and so on.

I don't think its boring! This is exactly what I like to read! Its not old, if you find this kind of book boring then don't read it.
I wish supernatural creatures would stop forcing small children to save the world from armies of the undead, it's getting old.

Looks like such a fusion of already written books.. kind of a mix of narnia, MYST, Harry Potter, City of bones and so many other books... Is originality really dead? Don't get me wrong- I'm sure the book is great but I really would rather read something I haven't read so many times before.
