Sry, but i much rather prefer a OS where i can actually install stuff that i need and i find on internet = windows. ( + u can get it free no probes, so i dont see how this thing beats it)

@nanotech2080 whatever OS you use is strictly your preference ... but just to let you know .... in Ubuntu you can install "stuff" right from your desktop , you don't even need to use to use your browser to search for software ..... because Ubuntu has something called "Software Center"

@locatemayank Yes, but the amount of stuff that is available for each of the is really different. Like most of the stuff wont even work on ubuntu.

Now, you could compare it to mac though, because mac is suffering from the same thing.

@nanotech2080 yes, Windows has more software cuz it had more time to develop .... but this also means that windows is more vulnerable (more visruses) .... Ubuntu is free of Viruses etc.

Am using this OS in a dual boot with Win7, and prefer Ubuntu much more. Works great on my laptop as well, detects all hardware, cannot be happier, and reportedly, the security is just as good as with Win7. Great software support, can do just as much with Linux as you can with Windows. And, did I mention that the price is really great?? Nice demo video!

@nextstep333 I don't give a flying fuck what they use on their SERVERS, because i need a OS for my gaming pc, on which i do a lot of stuff. There are no such programms for linux, that do all this random shit that I need, because these programms are made by private companies/people, that do really specific stuff.

Are you serious? Windows architecture is having problems. Microsoft's days are being numbered! Windows's TCP IP stack comes from BSD, a UNIX Variant. How could any person say Windows is better than any other OS, when NASA uses Linux for its workstations and servers. It is also very customisable in contrast to Windows. Google, IBM, and Amazon use Linux on their servers because of its reliability and performance.
