At this time he was a presidential candidate, so he had a small motorcade. Presidential motorcades usually have around 30 security vehicles. Torrek's right, he doesn't have a say in the numver of vehicles that escort him. One vehicle for him, and several SUVs for secret service, which he can't cut back on. A vehicle to jam remote signals (for IEDs and the like) and anywhere up to 2 dozen or more local or state police escorts.
