I like very much the crescendo that starts at 2:20, what a solemn pace, and what a great performance!

Front part only as always, but it's one of my favorite of Klemperor. Glad to listen again.
Thank you for sharing.

Masterful use of the brass against the tympani at about 2:50, then the tension is beautifully relieved by the chorus. The spine tingles.
All those years of playing piano in whorehouses paid off.
Johnny B. good. (He should have married Clara.)

Brahms is saying goodbye to his mother. Deeply touching.

Yikes! What in the world is that slipped-in advertising with a monkey and a commercial? Ugghh. I'll skip this video because of that ridiculous start. . . . very disappointing!

This is the best version I've heard so far. Like the top commenter writes, it has a measured solemn pace. Unlike some versions which sound almost like a military march. Cheers for uploading.....its on my bookmarks

ABER!!! ... Des Herrn Wort bleibet ... BLEIBET in EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWIGKEIT!! :-D
It is soooo disappointing to listen to Video No. 1 and then to moved into No. 2 and all you get is a dreadful commercial! Poor organization, or what? ;- (

I'm not getting a commercial. I hope this was a temporary glitch?
Let me know if this is still happening.
