not only is your hand pulled back, but your arm is bent which is giving you extra power. this is more of a regular punch then a one inch. you fail.
-
5-6 inches
-
if you try to pause at 0:08, notice his hand is pulled back to a distance of 4-5 inches. CHEATER. Disliked.
-
-1 inch is with your fingers bent
-body should be turned the other way, otherwise you're gaining a lot more power
-pulled your fist way back before punching the board
-you can tell just from the sound that that wood is weak
-
That's a 2 inch punch, his fingers are longer than 1 inch.
-
1) Pulled his fist back.
2) Those boards are not strong at all.
That's about it...
Try again.

thats not 1 inch!!
these people who draw back thier hands further than the length of thier middle finger are not doing a true one inch punch!. a true one inch punch (even then its slightly more than 1 inch) is when you place your finger tips at the target, and from THAT point close you first and extend your fore arm putting your body wieght behind the extension
and just like Bruce Lee used to joking say... "boards dont hit back" lol.
-
Hey you pulled back that last second. It's was just barely but you did do it. That kills the purpose in haveing a preset distance to limit yourself with, you had extra power.
