What a lying bitch. That's so not true. She is beloved by Big Oil--she's not going to tax them; and furthermore, it's our responsibility to pay for our roads. We can't just strong-arm private business and say you have to pay for our crap.

Well, let's get realistic. ASSUMING the oil companies don't jack up prices higher anyway in response to removing the gas tax.. A typical driver might save 20 bucks over the summer. This comes at the expense of thousands of necessary construction jobs that are financed by the gas tax. In turn, EVERYONE will have to be charged more in income and/or sales taxes to finance those construction jobs, thus nullifying the benefits of the gas tax holiday. This is moronic economic policy.

The economist who are agaist this are the same economists who have been giving Bush economic advice all along. Most of Washington is paid off by Big Oil lobiests. No one has the courage to upset Big Oil, except Hillary.

WOW - she cant bring the prices "down for good" because the gas price isnt up to begin with, its the extreme inflation that is causing our money to become less effective. if she wants to bring the prices down then she needs to talk about inflation which means she needs to start talking about attacking the federal reserve for intentionally inflating our money so that they can make a profit!
